Complete - December 2017

Construction of a new £60m waste treatment facility, which will separate recyclable materials from household waste and generate green electricity at the same time. The plant uses DONG Energy’s patented REnescience technology and will be the first full-scale bio plant in the world capable of handling household waste through enzymes, mechanical sorting and anaerobic digestion.

UKWS completed the full building envelope to the main and ancillary buildings, including:

- CA Twintherm roofing and wall cladding

- Single Ply Roofing

- Siphonic Drainage

- All curtain walling, windows, and glazing

- All roller shutter doors, sectional doors and door sets

- Special fabrication of bunker gates

- Bespoke fire rated windows to viewing area

- Lourves

- All access systems and access hatches
